If I had to pick one thing I loved about Christmas the most, it would be that it’s a time to spread love and hope, especially to those who are less fortunate than us.
There are so many things wonderful about the holiday season that I can’t even count them on my two hands.
First of all, it’s a time of celebration with your loved ones. The world we live in is so fast paced that we rarely have the time to slow down and properly catch up with loved ones. This makes Christmas the perfect time to take a break from our hectic lives, sit down and have real conversations.
It’s also a time for giving and receiving. The Christmas tradition is to give and receive gifts. Who doesn’t enjoy writing up their Christmas wish list for family and friends to peruse? It’s also an incredible feeling to watch a loved one’s face light up as they open their present.
On a lighter note, I absolutely love decorating the house for Christmas and wearing all the Christmas clothing and accessories that the holidays inspire.
I love seeing pictures of people celebrating a white Christmas in the northern parts of the world. I really do think that I should be living in the Northern Hemisphere, wearing Christmas jumpers and sipping hot chocolate in front of the fireplace; instead, I get to celebrate in the suffering heat of Australia’s summers.
One day, I’ll spend Christmas in a snowy cabin in the mountains and finally live out my dream.
