Blog Resources
Bluehost: If you’re looking into starting a blog, then Bluehost is the hosting provider for you. With them, you can start a blog for only $3.95 a month! You will even get a FREE domain for the first year if you purchase 12 months or more of hosting through my link. Read more at The Comprehensive Guide to Starting a Blog.
Genesis Framework by StudioPress: Genesis Framework is one of the most popular designs for blogs and is the parent theme I use on my blog. It’s really easy to customise and very affordable.
StudioPress: If you choose to use Genesis, you’ll need to pair it with a child theme. StudioPress‘ Genesis Framework comes with many packages so you can choose to either purchase the framework on its own, or purchase a package with a child theme. I use the Simply Pro Theme.
PicMonkey: If you want eye-catching Pinterest graphics that will boost your click-through rate, PicMonkey is the one design service you need. Since I started using PicMonkey for my Pinterest designs, I’ve noticed a dramatic increase in page views. Travel Resources
Booking.com: If you’re ever booking accomodation for a trip, I recommend checking out a few different websites to ensure that you get the best deal. I always compare prices between different booking sites and Booking.com is definitely one website that I always check out.
TripAdvisor: TripAdvisor is the one site I always check out before booking a hotel. You can search for the hotel you want to make a booking for and see past guest reviews so that you know what you should expect. I use it alongside Booking.com to make sure that I’m getting the best value for my money.
My Favourites
Kindle Paperwhite: As a voracious reader, my Kindle is a device that I can’t live without. While it doesn’t diminish my love for paperback books, reading books digitally is so much more convenient. Read Paperbacks vs eBooks | Which One is Worth Your Money?
Book Depository: Book Depository is my go to site for any books/journals I want to buy. The prices are competitive and they stock a lot of books that can’t be found in bookstores.
Grammarly: Grammarly is the one tool I use whenever I write anything, whether it be an assignment I’m handing in, my resume or even a new blog post. It points out so many small grammatical errors that I would otherwise be oblivious to if I didn’t use Grammarly. Read Why You Need Grammarly if You Write Anything.
Money Saving Sites
Groupon: Groupon is my go-to site whenever I’m looking for any deals or coupons for events/restaurants that I’m interested in. Members can also get extra savings with Groupon Select and if you sign up for an initial 6-month membership, you get the first month free!
