Here’s a 4-day guide to Nadi, Fiji
Day 1: Garden of the Sleeping Giant + Mudbaths + Zipline

A photo I took of the beautiful florals along the walkway
The Garden of the Sleeping Giant is gorgeous with it’s towering trees and winding paths. There are so many different types of flowers and plants that if you tried to count them, your head would spin.
Don’t be shocked if you see pineapples sprouting from scattered clumps of pineapple plants, or tiny frogs darting through the pond, jumping from lilypad to lilypad.
Perusing the garden only takes about 40 minutes, after which is the perfect time to head over to the Sabeto Hot Springs and Mud Baths. What better way to experience the Fijian way of life than a mudbath?
Of course, if you’re up for an adventure, you could also head to the Sleeping Giant Zipline, Orchid Falls and Jungle Safari for a day that you’ll never forget.
Day 2: Seaspray Day Adventure to the Mamanuca Islands

Seaspray
The Seaspray Day Adventure is a full day cruise which includes time ashore Modriki Island and a Fijian village visit on Yanuya Island.
The day starts off with a boat ride from whichever marina you choose to leave from. Once you arrive at Mana Island, you are transferred to a yacht (Seaspray) which will take you to the islands. Seaspray has an amazing crew who will provide you with such amazing entertainment that you’ll be sorry to leave at the end of the day.
First stop is Modriki Island, where the movie ‘Cast Away’ starring Tom Hanks was filmed. It’s a beautiful beach with white sand and clear water where you’ll be able to snorkel and watch the fish swim by.
Tip #1: If you decide to go into the water from the island instead of the yacht, bring the provided snorkelling gear with you in the tinny (small aluminium boat that takes you from the yacht to shore) so that you don’t have to swim all the way to the yacht again.
Tip #2: Make sure you put on a lot of sunscreen! You’ll be in the sun the entire day and if you don’t put enough sunscreen on, there’s a high chance you’ll get sunburnt.

Yanuya Island
Next stop: Yanuya Island
Yanuya Island is home to a traditional Fijian village. Here you’ll be able to meet the locals, observe and take part in a Kava ceremony and purchase handicraft from the local villagers.
Helpful tips:
- Respect the villagers by bringing appropriate clothing that covers your shoulders and goes past your knees
- Try the Kava at the Kava ceremony as it’s an opportunity to experience the local Fijian culture
- Bring cash to purchase souvenirs from the local villagers

Day 3: Rest + Relax
(and maybe recover from sunburn)

Fiji Parklands
Give yourself a day to relax and explore. If your hotel offers watersports then you could potentially try it out. Otherwise, just relax by the pool and give yourself some time to recuperate from life’s daily stresses. After all, ‘Fiji time’ is all about taking things slowly.
Head into the city of Nadi for some lunch and a glimpse into the local way of life. Walk around, mingle, chat with the locals and gain some insight into their culture.
Take a stroll along the beach at sunset to catch the gorgeous view. Make sure to bring your camera along with you! If you can, try to catch a Fiji fire dance. It’s a magical experience and sure to be one that you’ll never forget.
Day 4: Cloud 9

Italian wood-fired pizza
Cloud 9 is a restaurant on water. It’s a two-level platform with a bar and an Italian wood-fired pizzeria.
The platform is surrounded by crystal clear, turquoise-blue water and picturesque views all around. There are sun decks and day beds on-board to help you relax.
If you’re in for an adrenaline rush, you can even jump off the second level platform into the water. There’s also the option of snorkelling for an extra fee, and if you’re not comfortable swimming unassisted, there are life jackets on-board for you to wear.
Both the bar and the pizzeria have a variety of options available for you to order. If you purchase their package with direct return transfers for $229 FJD, you get a $60 FJD voucher that you can spend on food and drinks.
